ALPHONSO MANGO
The Alphonso mango (commonly misspelled as alfasuns and locally known as Hapus) is globally revered as the "King of Mangoes"
Flavor & Aroma: It has an intensely sweet, rich, and full-bodied tropical flavor with complex undertones of saffron, honey, and subtle citrus notes. Its powerful, sweet, and floral aroma can easily fill an entire room.
Texture: The pulp is famously buttery, velvety, and completely fibreless, allowing it to literally melt in your mouth.
Appearance: Medium-sized and egg-shaped (typically weighing between 150 to 300 grams). When fully ripe, its skin turns a vibrant golden-yellow with a light pinkish-red blush at the top, while the interior flesh is a deep saffron-orange.
Seasonality: It is a highly anticipated seasonal delicacy, available only for a limited window from late March through June.
